Now Wait a Minute...
Was the Raffle Rigged?
For the second year in a row, BCMS Foundation President
Dale A. Wood, MD won the foundation Gala Raffle.
In 2005, he was the lucky winner of the Bjorn’s home theatre
package. In 2006, he won the $10,000 shopping spree.
Hmm...cause for suspicion? No, just a guy who bought raffle
tickets to support a worthy cause.
Conspiracy theorists can relax. The good news is Dr. Wood
has chosen to donate $5,000 of his shopping spree back to
the Foundation.
He’s designated that $3,000 be awarded to the Foundation’s
scholarship fund, $1,000 will go toward the 2007 BCMS
Alliance scholarship fund and another $1,000 will be designated
toward the creation of a Foundation newsletter- something
sorely lacking for the last several years.
